Gas

Gas Issues (Smell of Gas or Suspected Leak):

• Do not use any electrical switches, naked flames, or appliances.
• Open windows and doors immediately to ventilate.
• Turn off the gas supply at the mains valve (usually near the meter).
• Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 (free, 24 hours).
• Then inform your host immediately.

Water

Water Leaks or Plumbing Problems:

• If water is leaking, try to contain it with a bucket or towels.
• Turn off the water supply stop tap (usually under the kitchen sink or near the front of the house).
• Do not attempt to repair yourself.
• Contact your host straight away with details.
